This type of fitting is designed to be used in piping systems where multiple pipes need to be connected at a single point, forming a cross shape. The female threaded ends on all four arms of the cross fitting enable it to be screwed onto corresponding male threaded pipes or fittings, providing a secure and leak-free connection.
